No ‘The Division’ until 2015? — Left 4 Dead-developers announce ‘Evolve’

January 7th was a day of both good and bad news. Good news first, Turtle Rock, the developer of Counter Strike: Condition Zero and the Left 4 Dead series announced that they’re working on a new multiplayer shooter for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC called Evolve. Turtle Rock are sticking true to their Left 4 Dead co-op roots by pitting 4 alien hunters against 1 hungry player-controlled alien which grows in strength as time goes by. 2K Games are to publish the game as they’ve purchased the rights from now collapsed THQ.

That’s the good news. Now to the bad one.

Remember how pretty The Division looked? Looks like we’ll have to wait until 2015 to actually see it in action. According to a member of the development team known by GameReactor, the massive game won’t see its release in 2014. And that’s bad news. Personally, it looked like one of the biggest releases of the early next generation and with that, also one of the biggest releases of the year. But as of now it seems like we’ll have to wait.
