Why Would You Buy? – FTL: Faster Than Light

Do you remember the good old days? The good old days, where games didn’t hold your hand and carried you through level after level? Since machines like Commodore 64, SNES and Atari 2600 made a name for themselves way before I played my first game, I sure as hell don’t remember the good old days… But apparently FTL: Faster Than Light has something to do with it.

So why would you journey into space and buy FTL: Faster Than Light?

  • Because it’s been a while since you last violently redecorated your room
  • Because you want to know what anger feels like
  • Because you like the fact that 3 hours of nerve-wracking gameplay can be thrown in the trash because of ONE MISTAKE
  • Because you’re cheap
  • Because you don’t own a two thousand dollar gaming PC

SHOULD you buy FTL: Faster Than Light?

Okay, I admit it – the reasons above might put you slightly off. Because All You Need Is Love, right? In this case – no. You need a lot of anger, a lot of tension, but first and foremost you need a lot of fun. And FTL is a fun game. To add to that, FTL is a cheap game with tons of value and tons of gameplay in the horizon. But check out some gameplay on youtube, because it might not appeal to everyone.

Yes, you should buy FTL: Faster Than Light. It’s really a great game.

FTL: Faster Than Light is available on Steam for €9.99/$9.99/£6.99

  1. FTL is a lot of fun. I still haven’t beaten it (though I haven’t played in awhile), it’s a great game you can play in short bursts and get a lot of enjoyment for a small investment.
